 CONSULTORÍA EMPRESARIAL SUÁREZ & ASOCIADOS is proud to present the book "“Better Governance Practices in the Latin American Financial Sector”, in which attorneys Humberto Serna Gómez, Main Teacher at the Universidad de Los Andes in the Administration Faculty, Edgar Suárez Ortiz, Consultancy Lawyer on Corporate Law and Chief Manager of Consultoría Empresarial Suárez & Asociados and Mónica Restrepo Campiño, Investigator Lawyer on Corporate Governance and Family Company issues and associated consultant at Consultoría Empresarial Suárez & Asociados Firm, participated as main investigators and editors.
This investigation was promoted by FELABAN'S -(Federation of Latin American Banks) Federación Latinoamericana de Bancos- Secretaryship and was carried out with its' permanent auspice and support.
This study identified the best bank practices in the following countries, also identifying the Regional Practices (Central America and Latin America):

3,000 copies were published, and were given out mostly to the assistants of the XLI Federation of Latin American Banks Annual Meeting. The work was presented by its' investigators in front of more than 1,300 assistants in Miami, where it took place during the 4th, 5th and 6th of November 2007. We hope this text is taken as a guide book for financial entities in order to empower their a Good-Governance management techniques. |

In this study, attorneys Humberto Serna Gómez, Main Teacher at the Universidad de Los Andes in the Administration Faculty, Edgar Suárez Ortiz, Consultancy Lawyer on Corporate Law and Chief Manager of Consultoría Empresarial Suárez & Asociados, and Mónica Restrepo Campiño, Investigator Lawyer on Corporate Governance and Family Company issues and associated consultant at Consultoría Empresarial Suárez & Asociados Firm, participated as main inverstigators and editors. On the 7th chapter " Good-Governance Codes: Better Organizational Practices for the Public Entities", Teodoro Pérez, technical advisor on Ethics and Communication of Casals & Associates Inc. helped on its' elaboration.
This investigation took place under the Institutional Empowerment Actions development frame with the Colombian Public Entities that belong to the Efficiency and Accountability program the USAID operates, under the Casals & Associates' Inc supervision.
We hope this text becomes of use for the Public Ethics Empowerment Management, generating an Integrity conscience on the country's Public Administration.
